Russells are one of the leading dealerships for Agricultural, Professional Groundcare, Construction and Arboriculture machinery in the UK.
As our business continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Groundcare Service Manager to lead the Service department at our Harby depot. This is a full-time, depot-based role and a great opportunity to join a respected, forward-thinking business and work with industry-leading brands including Kubota, Toro, Amazone, Ventrac, McConnell, Timberwolf, Takeuchi and Redexim, alongside a wide range of other specialist manufacturers.

About the role:
- Lead the day-to-day operation of the depot Service department, planning and allocating work to engineers and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently.
- Drive departmental performance and profitability in line with company expectations.
- Monitor work in progress, obtain purchase orders, and ensure accurate and timely invoicing.
- Act as a key point of contact for customers, suppliers and internal teams, resolving technical, operational and invoice queries professionally.
- Build strong customer relationships, develop existing accounts and identify opportunities to increase service revenue.
- Maintain accurate service records, job cards, warranty claim information, invoicing and internal documentation.
- Work closely with the Parts, Sales and Warranty teams to help achieve depot and company objectives.
- Coach, mentor and support the service team, promoting a positive sales and service culture.
- Provide technical experience and encourage a proactive, can-do approach to the service team.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company Health and Safety requirements.
About you:
- Confident, reliable and customer-focused, with a positive and professional approach.
- Able to communicate clearly and diplomatically with customers, colleagues and suppliers.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Technical knowledge of commercial groundcare machinery would be highly beneficial.
- Experience with Ibcos Gold, or similar dealer management software, would be advantageous.
- Calm under pressure, organised and able to meet deadlines while motivating others.
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a wider team.
- Previous experience in a demanding customer-facing role.
- Full UK driving licence required.
- Experience in agriculture, plant machinery, commercial vehicles or a related industry would be preferred, although applicants from other industries will also be considered.
