Russell’s (Kirbymoorside) Limited Modern Slavery Statement issued pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 for Financial Year ended 31st October 2025
1. Structure, business and supply chain
Russell’s (Kirbymoorside) Limited is one of the largest suppliers of agricultural and groundcare equipment, support services, servicing and related accessories in the United Kingdom. The Company is headquartered in the United Kingdom and supplies products predominantly throughout the United Kingdom and European Union.
The Company is committed to conducting business ethically and responsibly. We recognise our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our operations and supply chains and are committed to transparency in our approach.
2. Policies on Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking
Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights. It includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour and human trafficking.
Russell’s operates a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and is committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all business dealings. This commitment is supported by our Supplier Code of Conduct, Whistleblowing Policy and associated business procedures.
3. Due Diligence Procedures
The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for ensuring compliance with legal and ethical obligations relating to modern slavery. Day-to-day responsibility is delegated to senior management.
The Company undertakes due diligence through supplier selection processes, supplier engagement, review of supplier policies and monitoring of concerns raised through management and reporting channels.
4. Identifying, Assessing and Managing Risk
Russell’s purchases goods and services from a diverse supplier base. The majority of suppliers are based within the UK and European Union.
Risk assessments consider factors including supplier location, industry sector, workforce composition, use of agency labour, and the availability of supplier ethical trading and modern slavery policies.
Based upon these assessments, the Company considers the risk of modern slavery within its direct supply chain to be low, whilst recognising that no supply chain can be considered entirely free from risk.
5. Measuring Effectiveness
Russell’s monitors the effectiveness of its anti-slavery controls through supplier engagement, review of supplier policies, monitoring reported concerns, periodic review of procurement practices and management review processes.
No incidents of modern slavery have been identified within the Company’s operations during the reporting period.
6. Training and Awareness
Relevant employees involved in procurement, supplier management, recruitment and management responsibilities receive awareness training regarding modern slavery risks, indicators and reporting procedures.
7. Reporting Concerns
The Company encourages employees, suppliers, contractors and other stakeholders to raise concerns regarding any suspected instances of modern slavery. Concerns may be raised through line management or the Company’s Whistleblowing Policy. Individuals raising genuine concerns in good faith will not suffer detrimental treatment.
8. Future Commitments
During the next reporting period Russell’s will:
• Continue reviewing supplier compliance with ethical sourcing requirements.
• Review higher-risk suppliers where appropriate.
• Maintain employee awareness of modern slavery indicators.
• Monitor the effectiveness of reporting arrangements.
• Review and update related policies annually.
9. Approval
This statement relates to the financial year ending 31 October 2025 and was approved by the Board of Directors.
