Experienced Service Technician – Rotherham Depot

Due the opening of a new depot, we require an experienced Service Technician. We offer full training and the ability to work in our modern workshop, with all required tooling and resources. We also offer the opportunity to work on cutting edge, technologically advanced machinery which will develop your skill set and knowledge. The right candidate will receive an annual training and development plan, they will also receive a support vehicle to enable on site repairs.   

Requirements

 Highly motivated, with the ability to listen and learn.
Ability to work safely and under own supervision.
Previous industry experience essential, not necessarily with any of our franchises as full training will be given.
Experience with diagnostic equipment and electrical fault finding.
Excellent customer service skills.
Hydraulic systems understanding and diagnostic experience.
Punctual and flexible to follow changing work commitments.

Senior Parts Advisors – Northallerton and Boroughbridge depots

Russell Group is one of the UK’s most progressive New Holland agricultural machinery dealers. We are looking for a Parts Sales Advisor at our expanding Northallerton depot. The Ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of modern agriculture and preferably a solid background in Agricultural Engineering or a similar industry.

As a Senior Parts Advisor you will be an integral member of the aftersales team, responsible for assisting with the efficient operation of the parts department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer care
  • Dealing with retail customers face to face and over the telephone
  • Place and expedite stock and VOR parts orders
  • Receiving parts into stock
  • Merchandising showroom displays
  • Booking parts to workshop jobs
  • Assist with stock control
  • Efficient operation of goods in process

Key personal attributes

  • Possess sound knowledge of modern farming practices
  • Technically minded
  • Ability to interpret technical parts catalogues

Key Skills & Requirements

Personal Circumstances

Ability to commute reliably to the depot. Willing to be away the occasional night to attend courses or visit suppliers. Willing to work at other branches for short periods to cover for colleagues. Able to work extended hours when required, including weekends.

Hours

Monday to Friday: 8am to 5.30pmSaturdays: 8am to Noon (approx. 1 in 3 on rota basis)

In season extended opening – Extended opening during peak harvest season from July to September. Staffed on a rota basis:

Week days to 6.30pm

Saturdays to 4pm

Sundays as required 9am to 4pm

Remuneration

Negotiable depending on experience plus overtime.

Service Technician – Rothwell (Kettering) Depot

Location:                      Russell Group- Rothwell (Kettering) Depot


Purpose of the job

Russell Group is one of the leading agricultural machinery dealerships in the North of England, with one of the industry leading manufacturers (New Holland) as a primary franchise.

Due to development into a new area, an opportunity has arisen for an Experienced Service Technician at our new Rothwell depot. We offer full training and the ability to work in our modern workshop, with all required tooling and resources. We also offer the opportunity to work on cutting edge, technologically advanced machinery which will develop your skill set and knowledge. The right candidate will receive an annual training and development plan, they will also receive a support vehicle to enable on site repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing excellent customer care
  • Dealing with fault diagnoses and repairs both in the workshop and on site environments
  • Repairs on a diverse range of products
  • Administer all relevant service paperwork concisely and in a timely manner
  • Be an ambassador for the brand and company
  • Support and mentor junior staff where required
  • Ensure efficiency and productivity targets are met and maintained
  • Maintain company image buy appearance and conduct

Key Personal Attributes

  • Possess sound knowledge of modern farming practices
  • Ability to diagnose and repair modern agricultural machinery
  • Knowledge of key farming technologies

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Full UK Driving license
  • Engineering/ mechanical qualification. Time served.
  • Experience with diagnostic equipment and proficient with IT systems
  • Fabrication and welding ability/experience
  • Commitment when the seasonal trends dictate
  • Willingness to attend service training courses

The programme involves a two year college course on week block release at Reaseheath College in Cheshire.
